We're Muriel and Mark Lloyd Williams (we're mother and son). We started Black Mountain Gallery in the mid-90's as a place where we could create and display our paintings and sculpture.

When we opened, over 10 years ago, Black Mountain Gallery was run as a retail gallery. However, over the course of time, we found as demand was increasing for our work, a larger and larger proportion of our output was selling through other galleries over a wider area. These days, 99% of our work sells "off site" mainly through retail galleries and over the internet.

Pressure of work and our rural location means it doesn't make sense for us to operate a retail gallery ourselves, HOWEVER, CALLERS ARE STILL VERY WELCOME AT OUR WORKSHOP... we still sell direct to the public as well as "The Trade" Although we don't maintain a large volume of work for customers to buy off the shelf.

We always have a great deal work awaiting dispatch, so you're more than welcome to pop in: It's the best way of seeing the quality of what we do if you haven't got a gallery near you that stocks our work. Just give us a quick call beforehand, because we spend a lot of time with trade customers or doing messy stuff in our workshops like silk-screen printing or making picture frames.
